Privacy Policy

BillCheck ("we", "us") provides an AI-powered audit of medical bills. We take privacy seriously. This policy describes what information we handle and how.

What we collect

• Bill content you upload. When you upload a PDF or paste text, that content is held in your browser's session storage until you pay. After payment, it is sent to our analysis function and to our AI provider (Anthropic) for a single processing pass.
• Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your card number. We receive only the payment status and a session ID from Stripe.
• Basic technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and debugging.

What we do not do

• We do not retain your bill content on our infrastructure after the audit is generated.
• We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.
• We do not use your data to train any AI model.
• We do not create user accounts or profiles.

Third parties

• Anthropic — receives your bill text to generate the audit. Per Anthropic's API terms, inputs may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring and are not used to train their models.
• Stripe — processes your payment.
• Vercel — hosts the site and runs our serverless functions.

Your rights

You may request information about data we hold by emailing the address below. Because we do not retain bill content, requests for deletion of bill data are typically already satisfied by default.
